Home Health care wound nurses can only provide conservative wound care treatment and management. Only a provider can utilize advanced treatment options such as biologics and skin substitutes to heal the wound.
Once a wound has shown no signs of healing for 30 days (along with other qualifying criteria), the patient may qualify for Advanced Treatment because the wound is now deemed chronic. It is then appropriate to utilize skin substitutes. These are medical devices which provide growth factors and scaffolding for tissue regeneration. The average net profit for one treatment is $4500.
We will discuss your patient demographics and possibly research how many patients were referred to Home health for wound care recently. We will also assist with any changes to your EHR template to ensure the details of the wound are being recorded for reimbursement. Once your date has been approved, we will get your registration page up and running. You will receive a QR code and URL link to send out to all your employees . This will enable them to register for a testing time on a smart phone or computer.
The main thing we want people to know is, the more information they submit on their registration page, the more comprehensive feedback our providers will be able to offer in return. Also, it is best to fast 8 hours prior to testing. Drinking water is encouraged in order to stay hydrated for the blood draw. Loose fitting attire is preferred to allow easy access for blood pressure readings and blood draws.
No, blood testing that is processed on site is far less sensitive and specific than specimens processed via a laboratory. Once the blood results have been reported, our doctor on staff will review the entirety of the data provided and offer action feedback in six clinical areas to improve overall health and wellness. Registrant will receive a text message when their confidential results are ready to view/download/print in approximately 5 - 7 days after testing.
